Of 19 transpacific races he has competed in as navigator he has won nine and in his latest venture he helped ABN Amro to win the Volvo Ocean Race as the navigator onboard.

Why you joined TEAMORIGIN:

“Working with Mike Sanderson in the Volvo Ocean Race was not only a very productive relationship but a thoroughly enjoyable one as well, so when I heard he was heading up this campaign I was immediately interested. The technology and navigation required in the America’s Cup is different to a round the world race, but with such an expert team behind me I felt this was an exciting challenge I could not turn down.”
