MATT CORNWELL

Despite being born in the centre of England, Matt found his way to the south coast and has built up a sizeable sailing CV. His light and nimble figure makes him perfect for the position of Bowman where he has established his name as one of the leaders in this field.

Some of his greatest achievements include winning the Fastnet race, winning the Sydney-Hobart Race and in 2001 he was part of the Blue Yankee team that won the IMS Block Island Race Week and North American Offshore Championships.

In the America’s Cup he has competed for both the British (GBR Challenge) and the French (Areva) providing extra knowledge in the field of mast maintenance as well as performing the required tasks of a bowman.
