George bust onto the sailing scene in 1988 when he won the Scottish heat for The Times Newspaper Crewsearch Competition, despite being below the minimum entry requirement age. This catapulted him straight into the Admirals on Jamarella which they won and were the top placed yacht.
Skuodas is now highly sought after by a number of British-based skippers when it comes to choosing a mastman. When Mike Sanderson saw his skills and energy onboard Mascalzone in the last Cup, he knew he wanted him for TEAMORIGIN.
His inaugural America’s Cup experience came representing Britain as part of GBR Challenge in 2003. Recent America’s Cup campaigns have seen him racing with the French K-Challenge and the Italian Mascalzone. He has quickly developed into one of the most respected and highly specialised mastmen within the America’s Cup world.

Why you joined TEAMORIGIN:
“This is really big news. This is a world class team and it's great to have been invited to join a professional and exciting outfit. I raced with GBR Challenge in the past and have cut my teeth on other teams since, but it feels good to be returning to compete with a British team that is bursting with talent and potential, to win the America’s Cup is my dream”
