| DAVID CARR |

|
Year of Birth:1982
Nationality: British
Role: Grinder
Although David Carr was amongst the youngest on Victory Challenge’s sailing team in the last America’s Cup, he certainly doesn’t lack experience at the highest level. Not only has Carr raced in America’s Cup campaigns with GBR Challenge and Victory, but also won Gold in the World Youth Championships and World Student Championships in match racing.
A powerhouse behind the grinder, Carr was born into sailing and has thrived off it ever since. Victory in the 2000 World Youth Match Racing Championships acted as a spring board for the rest of his career and thrust him straight into the limelight as an 18 year old grinder with GBR Challenge. Still young and with plenty more to learn, David was involved in the dogfight for the final semi-final spot in the most recent Cup with Victory Challenge. Unfortunately they narrowly missed out on it, but it has only served to motivate him to seek greater success.
