Year of Birth: 1977
Nationality: British
Role: Strategist & Traveller

At 30 years of age, Rob is one of the most exciting sailing talents in the UK, if not the world. Blessed with what can only be described as natural talent, every boat he sets foot on seems to achieve incredible results and there is no doubt that his influence in TEAMORIGIN will be hugely appreciated.

A south coast boy, he studied Maritime studies at the Southampton institute graduating in 1998 and went on to help with the development of the 18” skiff. It was in this boat that he has found unprecedented success, racking up 4 national titles and the World title in 2004. In 2005 he joined the hugely successful ABN Amro team for their record-breaking circumnavigation.

Rob’s latest project has been with Team Basilica in the Extreme 40 iShares Cup, where teamed up with his brother, he has completely dominated the series and won it with one more event still to go.

Why you joined TEAMORIGIN:

“The America’s Cup is the pinnacle of sailing so when the offer came from TEAMORIGIN to represent Britain it was a no-brainer. Sir Keith’s past proves that he is capable of winning against all the odds and we will go into the next cup full of confidence – I wouldn’t have signed up if I didn’t think we could win!”
